About Cabrillo
The Cabrillo Editorial Team pairs working technicians with a professional editor to produce every guide in the Learning Center. Plumbing, HVAC, and water-heater articles are reviewed by Frank Cichetti (journeyman plumber & HVAC technician, field supervisor) before publish. Field observations, homeowner questions, and diagnostic patterns come from the technicians who actually run the calls — Dave Preciado's 35 years of plumbing experience, Matt Legaspi's SF HVAC maintenance route, Erick Ortega's 20+ years of installation work, and the rest of the Cabrillo crew. Every guide reflects work actually performed on San Francisco and Peninsula homes since 1961.
