Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to Cabrillo Plumbing, Heating & Air. This policy explains what information we collect when you contact us or use discovercabrillo.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have — written in plain language first, with the full detail below.

Last updated: July 17, 2026

The short version

  • We collect the contact details you give us (name, phone, email, address) plus basic usage data (cookies, analytics) when you use discovercabrillo.com.
  • We use that information to respond to your request, schedule and provide service, improve our site, and meet legal obligations.
  • We do not sell your personal information for money. Some analytics/advertising cookies may count as “sharing/selling” under California law — you can opt out (see “Your Choices”).
  • If you give us your phone number and opt in, we may call or text you about your request; message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time.
  • You have privacy rights (to know, access, delete, correct, and opt out). To exercise them, call (415) 843-2900 or contact us online.
  • Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we use reasonable safeguards to protect your information.

1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to Cabrillo Plumbing, Heating & Air (“Cabrillo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and to information we collect through our website at discovercabrillo.com, by phone, by email, by text message, and in the course of providing plumbing, heating, cooling, water-heater, and electrical services across San Francisco and the Peninsula. By using our site or contacting us, you agree to this policy.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information, depending on how you interact with us:

  • Identifiers & contact information you provide — your name, phone number, email address, service/property address, and similar details submitted through our forms, by phone, or by email.
  • Service information — the service you’re requesting, details about your home or system, scheduling preferences, and any photos or descriptions you choose to share.
  • Communications — the contents of your messages to us, and, where applicable and disclosed, call recordings and chat transcripts created when you call or message us, kept for quality, training, and recordkeeping.
  • Usage & device data — collected automatically when you visit the site: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring pages, and similar analytics data, gathered through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Cookies & similar technologies — small files and identifiers used to operate the site, remember preferences, measure performance, and (where enabled) support analytics and advertising. See “Cookies & tracking” below.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as government IDs, financial-account numbers, or health data) through this website. Please don’t submit that kind of information through our web forms.

3. Where we get your information

  • Directly from you — when you fill out a form, call, email, text, or speak with our team.
  • Automatically — from your device and browser as you use the site (cookies, analytics, server logs).
  • From service providers — analytics, hosting, anti-spam (reCAPTCHA), call-tracking, and scheduling/CRM vendors that help us operate.

4. How we use your information

  • Respond to your inquiries, provide quotes, and schedule and perform service.
  • Communicate with you about appointments, estimates, follow-ups, and your account or request.
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and services (including analytics and fraud/spam prevention).
  • Send service updates and, where you’ve agreed, occasional offers or promotions you can opt out of at any time.
  • Comply with our legal, tax, licensing, warranty, and recordkeeping obligations, and enforce our agreements.

5. How and with whom we share information

We share personal information only as needed to run our business and as described here. We disclose information to the following categories of recipients:

  • Service providers / processors — website hosting and content delivery, analytics, anti-spam (reCAPTCHA), call-tracking, email/SMS messaging, scheduling/CRM, and payment or financing partners, each acting on our instructions.
  • Professional advisors — accountants, insurers, and attorneys, as needed.
  • Legal & safety — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights, property, or safety, or in connection with a business transfer (e.g., a sale or merger).

We require our service providers to protect your information and to use it only for the services they perform for us.

6. We do not sell your information (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. California’s privacy law defines “sell” and “share” broadly. Some analytics and advertising cookies — if and when enabled — may be considered “sharing” or “selling” (for cross-context behavioral advertising) under the CPRA. You can opt out of those technologies as described in “Cookies & tracking” and “Your choices,” including by using a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal or our cookie controls.

Your California Privacy Rights — Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

This section is for California residents and explains the personal information Cabrillo Plumbing, Heating & Air collects through discovercabrillo.com and how to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of it, as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA.

Categories of personal information we collect on this website, and the tools that collect them:

  • Identifiers and contact details (name, phone number, email address, service address) — collected only when you submit our contact or free-second-opinion forms, and used to respond to your request.
  • Internet and usage activity (pages viewed, device/browser type, approximate location, IP address) — collected by Google Analytics 4, loaded through our own Google Tag Manager container (GTM-N3X6JGT2).
  • Phone-call information (the number you call from, call time, and call routing) — collected by WhatConverts call tracking (our account profile 165108), which we use to know which page or ad prompted your call.
  • Spam-prevention signals — collected by Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise when you submit a form, to distinguish people from bots.

“Selling” and “sharing” disclosure (CPRA): we do not sell personal information for money. However, analytics and advertising cookies like the ones above can constitute “sharing” (and in some cases “selling”) for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. We treat them accordingly and give you the opt-outs below. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

How to opt out of sale/sharing:

  • On-site choice: use the button below (or the “Decline” option on our cookie banner) to turn off analytics and advertising storage for this browser. Your choice is saved and re-applied on every future visit.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): we honor the GPC browser signal automatically. If your browser or extension sends GPC, we treat it as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing for that browser — no further action needed.

Your other California rights — in addition to opting out, you may request that we disclose what personal information we have collected about you (right to know/access), delete it (right to delete), or correct it (right to correct). We will never discriminate against you — in price, service quality, or availability — for exercising any privacy right (right to non-discrimination).

How to exercise these rights: call (415) 843-2900, contact us online, or write to us at 78 Dorman Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94124 with the subject “Privacy Request.” We will verify your request as required by law and respond within the statutory timeframe. This section was last updated on July 17, 2026.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA; residents of other states with comparable laws have analogous rights:

  • Know / access — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Delete — request deletion of personal information we collected, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out — opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and of targeted advertising.
  • Limit — limit certain uses of sensitive personal information (we do not use it for purposes that trigger this right).
  • Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, call (415) 843-2900 or email contact us online with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We will verify your request (and may verify an authorized agent acting on your behalf) before responding, and we will respond within the timeframes required by law.

8. Calls and text messages (TCPA & A2P 10DLC)

If you give us your phone number and opt in — for example, by checking the consent box on a form — you agree that Cabrillo Plumbing, Heating & Air may call and/or send text messages to that number about your request, appointments, estimates, and service. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of purchasing any service.

  • Program / purpose: service-related and account messages, and (only where you opt in) occasional offers.
  • Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us.
  • Message and data rates may apply — these are charged by your mobile carrier.
  • Opt out any time by replying STOP to any text; reply HELP for help.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not share text-message opt-in consent or phone numbers collected for texting with third parties for their own marketing. You can also ask us to stop calling or texting by calling (415) 843-2900 or emailing contact us online.

9. Cookies & tracking; Do Not Track / GPC

We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to run the site, plus (where enabled) performance/analytics cookies and, potentially, advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where offered, our on-site cookie controls.

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal; because there is no common industry standard, we respond to recognized opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC) where required by law, treating them as a valid request to opt out of “sale”/“sharing” for that browser or device.

10. Analytics & advertising disclosures; opt-outs

The analytics tools actually deployed on this website are: Google Analytics 4 (loaded through our Google Tag Manager container, GTM-N3X6JGT2) to understand how the site is used; WhatConverts call tracking to attribute phone calls to the pages that generated them; and Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise to protect our forms from spam and abuse (subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms). We honor your cookie-banner choice and the Global Privacy Control signal for all of them, as described above and in “Your California Privacy Rights.”

11. Children’s privacy (COPPA)

Our website and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy and as required by law. As a general guide, lead and contact records are retained for up to 24 months after our last interaction unless a longer period is required for tax, warranty, legal, or recordkeeping purposes; we then delete or de-identify it.

13. How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13a. Payment security

We never collect or store payment-card numbers through this website. There are no card-entry fields anywhere on the site. If you finance a project, your application is completed directly with the independent lender on the lender’s own secure, hosted system — Cabrillo does not see or store your card or bank credentials. Payments for service are handled at the time of service through our payment processor, which is responsible for card-data security under the PCI DSS standard; card numbers are not transmitted to or retained by this website.
